her inspiration stems from her interest in capturing the human form , traces and movement maintaining traditional aesthetics of drawing and painting but in a contemporary mediums . To this end, her current images combine a contrast between form and spirit, resulting images have an eroticism movement and earthliness, whilst offering the reminder that all formations of being are transient.

Beatrice Lacey was born in London in 1957 and studied in the late 80s at Goldsmiths School of Art.

She also studied anatomy at the London College of Surgeons.
